Reader Question: Should Our Family of Adults Go On a Disney Cruise?

Hi Stefano, thanks for your question! Your answer is coming from a kid at heart who’s traveled on DCL twice: including once with my sister, mom and dad and we’re all well over the age of 20. What can we say? Disney fandom runs in the family and we geek out over the parks, history, music and films.

We know there’s a ton of literature and videos that show kids having a good time on the cruise, BUT here’s a fun fact:One-third of cruisers on DCL are adults without kids. We’ve touched on this subject before with our best tips: including adult-only pools, restaurants, and the beach on Castaway Cay. There’s even a dedicated castmember with the title of Club Director who handles all adult activities: shows, comedians, trivia, lounge acts, etc. (We heart Jo on the Magic.)

So, if anyone or everyone in the travel party is a Disney fan, in some way shape or form, I’d say go for it. There’s certainly plenty onboard for a three day cruise and remember, you’re going to the Bahamas and Castaway Cay!
