JetBlue, Delta adding Caribbean, Mexico winter flights: Travel Weekly

On the heels of American Airlines’ recent announcement of new and expanded winter services to the Caribbean and Mexico, two other airlines have joined the chorus.

JetBlue will add a new route from Fort Lauderdale to Providenciales, Turks and Caicos in November, pending government approval. The carrier earlier announced service from Fort Lauderdale to Mexico City on Oct. 1.

Delta will resume its seasonal service from Atlanta to Grenada on Dec. 19 with three weekly flights through Jan. 9, after which the carrier reverts to a Saturday-only flight through April.

Currently, Delta operates a seasonal nonstop Atlanta-Grenada flight through Aug. 15.

In the Bahamas, Delta also will launch new seasonal twice-weekly services from Atlanta to Eleuthera, twice-weekly flights to Marsh Harbour, Abaco and daily service to Exuma, beginning Dec. 19.

The flights to Eleuthera and Abaco will use 65-seat EV-CJ7 aircraft.
