Online Vacation Center agent wins $1 million in Viking Cruises sweepstakes

Viking Cruises said that Marie White of Online Vacation
Center in Fort Lauderdale won the $1 million top prize in a sweepstakes contest
it has been running for the past six months.

Viking said the Viking Million Dollar Voyage promotion to
mark its 20th anniversary was the largest promotion of its kind and attracted
more than 20,000 entries.

Agents who registered gained one entry into the sweepstakes
for every cruise sold between Oct. 1, 2016, and March 31, 2017. White’s name
was chosen at random from all qualified entries, Viking said.

Under the contest rules, White will receive 10 annual
payments of $100,000 over the next 10 years.

During a check presentation ceremony, Viking chairman
Torstein Hagen said, “In the last two decades, travel agents like you have
helped us launch more ships and win more awards than any other cruise line.
This is our way of showing our appreciation and to provide inspiration for the
decades to come.”
