Luxury line Regent Seven Seas is planning another epic sailing from Florida to South America and back for 2019.
The 66-night voyage on the 700-passenger Seven Seas Mariner will kick off Nov. 1, 2019 in Miami and feature a complete circumnavigation of the continent.
Highlights of the trip will include a crossing of the Panama Canal; nearly a week sailing and stopping along the coast of Peru; a two-day visit to the Chilean fjords; and a visit to the Falkland Islands.
The ship also will spend nearly three weeks sailing along the coast of Brazil and up Brazil’s Amazon River. It also will visit Colombia, Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay and several Caribbean islands.
The voyage will come nearly three years after Regent’s last complete circumnavigation of South America. The line last offered a complete trip around the continent in early 2017.
Voyages that include a complete circumnavigation of South America are relatively rare in the cruise world. Other lines that have offered such trips in recent years include Holland America, Silversea Cruises and Crystal Cruises.
Regent’s new South America sailing is just one of several dozen trips the line has just unveiled for 2019 and early 2020. Fares for the voyage start at $34,999 per person, based on double occupancy.
Seven Seas Mariner underwent a major makeover in 2014 that brought upgraded cabins, restaurants, deck-top areas and more. For a deck-by-deck tour of the revamped ship, scroll through the carousel at the top of the story or see our video series on the vessel below.
