Ideas for a summer cruise in Greenland

Q Last year we had a wonderful cruise from Longyearbyen around the west and north of the Svalbard archipelago then across to Greenland and down its eastern coast.

I would like to go back to Spitsbergen and visit some of the old settlements such as Pyramiden or Barentsburg, and then go to Nuuk and cruise along Greenland’s western coast. Is this possible in one trip? We would want to go in the summer, but outside the school holidays.

A There are no cruises that combine Greenland’s west coast and Svalbard; to do so would require a journey of several days around Cape Farewell. But the trip can be done in two stages.
