Looking for a honeymoon with sun, culture and activity

Q I am looking to go on honeymoon in the last week of September or the first week of October. We want sun, culture and activity. We were thinking about Sri Lanka, but have been warned off due to the monsoon period starting at that time and the weather being unpredictable. Do you have any guidance on where we could go at this time of year?

A Late September and early October is not the best time of year to visit Sri Lanka; you can enjoy the sun on the island’s east-coast beaches, but if you are looking to include some wildlife spotting in your honeymoon, Yala National Park is usually closed for much of September, reopening at some point in October.
