Lindblad launching new ship with cruise from San Francisco

Lindblad Expeditions/National
Geographic will launch its new ship, National Geographic Venture, in
December with two cruises along the U.S. West Coast.

A five-day cruise departing
Dec. 2 will leave from San Francisco and visit Angel Island, Sausalito,
Monterey and Point Lobos, Avila Beach and Catalina Island before arriving in
Long Beach. The second cruise is a 12-day itinerary departing Long Beach on Dec.
7 and arriving in La Paz, Mexico, with multiple stops in Baja California along
the way.

The 100-passenger Venture, a
sister ship to the National Geographic Quest, is expected to be delivered in
October. Prices for the five-day itinerary start at $3,800 per person, and
$9,120 for the 12-day trip.
