Before you walk down the aisle, take a walk around Red Bank.

The Red Bank Wedding Walk, scheduled for March 24, is a free event designed for engaged couples. The self-guided tour, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., will provide access to more than 40 local wedding businesses.

Attendees are asked to register in advance by visiting www.RedBankWeddingWalk.com, where they also can browse the participating businesses and map out their itinerary in advance to get the most out of their day.

Brides and grooms need to check in at the Oyster Point Hotel, on the Navesink River waterfront at 146 Bodman Place. At the hotel, they can enjoy a continental breakfast and check off the first stops on their “passports.”

Armed with a map, couples can then explore and get info for venues for rehearsals and receptions, photography and videography professionals, entertainment and transportation experts, hair and make-up salons, and dress boutiques for the bride and bridal party.

Attendees are also invited to attend a reception at 3 p.m. at the Molly Pitcher Inn, also on the river at 88 Riverside Dr., where they can enjoy music, savory treats, libations and a champagne toast. Drawings will be held for an all-inclusive honeymoon trip to Punta Cana from Liberty Travel and Majestic Resorts, a romantic getaway package at the Molly Pitcher/Oyster Point, a full DJ entertainment package including lighting and a photo booth from Sounds To Go, and many more prizes from Red Bank businesses.

To be eligible for the free drawings at the end of the day, guests must visit and have their passports stamped by at least 12 businesses during the Wedding Walk. Complete details are explained at check-in.
