Lisa Lutoff-Perlo wins CLIA’s Lifetime Achievement Award

FORT LAUDERDALE — Celebrity Cruises president and CEO Lisa
Lutoff-Perlo was named the 2019 winner of CLIA’s Lifetime Achievement Award at
a Hall of Fame awards ceremony here.

Lutoff-Perlo, a 32-year cruise veteran, became president and
CEO of Celebrity in 2014. Immediately prior to becoming Celebrity CEO,
Lutoff-Perlo was executive vice president of operations for Royal Caribbean
International, overseeing several critical areas, including marine and hotel operations.

She led the launch team for Royal Caribbean’s Quantum-class
ships and spearheaded the development of the third and fourth Oasis-class
ships, before taking on similar responsibilities as Celebrity developed the
first of its new Edge-class ships, which debuted last fall.

She was instrumental in picking Pakistani Nobel Prize winner
Malala Yousafzai as the godmother for the Celebrity Edge.

A Boston native and avid fan of Boston sports franchises,
Lutoff-Perlo is a graduate of Bentley University.

Lutoff-Perlo becomes the second consecutive woman at RCCL to
win the CLIA Lifetime Achievement award. Royal Caribbean International senior
vice president of sales, trade support and services Vicki Freed won the award
in 2018.

In another Hall of Fame award, Avoya Travel received the
Travel Agency Innovator Award.  

Founded as a mom-and-pop agency in Escondido, Calif., in the
1960s, Avoya has since grown to become host agency to one of the largest
networks of independent agents in the country.

Also honored was Lucinda Beldon, owner of Dream
Vacations/Stingray Travel, of Carrollton, Texas, who was named Elite Cruise
Counselor of the Year.

cruise industry, and every nominee is a great reflection on the industry as a
