The Foolproof Packing List for Your Honeymoon, According to an Expert

One of the most exciting things about being engaged (besides getting married, of course) is planning your honeymoon. Between the chance to celebrate your new marriage with your newly minted spouse, the exciting destination and new experiences, there’s a lot to look forward to for your post-wedding vacation. That said, no matter where you and your S.O. decide to go, there are always a few things every fashion lover should have on their honeymoon packing list.

In order to make sure you have everything you need for a smooth honeymoon vacation, we tapped Lisa Gooder, the executive director at Brides, for her expertise on exactly what you need. Here, she breaks it down to make your honeymoon prep time—whether it’s before or after your wedding—less stressful.

“If you’re heading to a city, you will need good shoes and a small crossbody bag that closes (for security),” Gooder shares with Who What Wear. “Beach travel requires a lot of sunscreen, sunglasses, bikinis and cover-ups.” As for other honeymoon must-haves, Gooder recommends packing flirty lingerie and romantic dresses for nights out with your spouse.

Additionally, the executive director mentions travel accessories you should never leave without, such as a phone charger and a travel jewelry roll for your engagement ring—along with insurance for your engagement ring.
