A teacher due to spend her honeymoon in New York is among thousands of passengers whose holidays may be ruined by the proposed pilots’ strike.

Sarah-Jane Campbell Smith, 34, is due to fly with her fiancé, James Waterhouse, 36, from Manchester to JFK on August 24 but fears that they will lose the £1,500 dream trip.

“It’s more stressful than if it were just a holiday.
