Cruises to Antarctica revealed as passengers promised ‘exclusivity’ and whale adventures

Giving a nod to luxury, there will be one staff member to every eight guests as the ship venues around the Antarctic Peninsula during an expedition through the Drake Passage.

On the journey, guests will spot orcas, humpback whales, seals and penguins whilst learning about Antarctica’s history, geology and biology.

Intrepid promises: “Every day will be a new adventure, from ice-filled bays and channels to exploring the Antarctica itself on Zodiac excursions and by foot.

“To recuperate after a full day exploring, passengers can relax on board in the health and wellness centre, complete with two saunas, a well-equipped gym, yoga classes, and a salt water pool – the perfect remedy after a polar plunge.”

The focus on environmental cruising also chimes with the Cruise Line Association’s spotlight on the environmental impact of the industry.
