Travel Deal: $999 – Tulip Season in the Netherlands: 7-Nt. River Cruise

TravelZoo sent me what seems to be a good cruise deal to Holland and Belgium in 2018. They say that this cruise capitalizes on the small window for tulip season from mid-March to mid-May of next year.

Here’s what else they say:

Sail through Holland and Belgium in spring, when more than seven million flowers are in bloom. For $999 per person, travelers save $800 compared to regular pricing on this unique itinerary traversing the scenic waterways from Amsterdam to Ghent.

What you need to know about this deal:

  • This package includes seven nights on the Monarch Empress or Monarch Queen in an Outside Cabin room with window; seven breakfasts, six lunches and seven dinners including unlimited beer and wine with dinner; shore excursions with an English-speaking guide; and daily entertainment
  • Monarch Empress is Gate 1’s newest ship, with unique amenities like a putting green
  • Due to the limited travel window to catch tulip season, cruises fill up quickly, so it’s worth planning ahead for this trip
  • Airfare is not included but can be added through Gate 1 Travel

Stops on this itinerary include Amsterdam, where you’ll cruise the canals in a glass-top boat. Then, explore Nijmegen, the Netherlands’ oldest city and see Antwerp, home to opulent cathedrals and homes. Next up, wander the medieval town of Ghent and end in Kinderdijk, where you’ll tour an 18th-century windmill park.

Depart: March 24, 31; April 2018 dates are also discounted. Port fees are an additional $190 per person and will be reflected when booking.

Note: When booking, use promo code TZTTRC810 for March 24 departures on the Monarch Empress; use promo code TZTTRC610 for March 31 departures on the Monarch Queen.

Note: Book by June 2. Click HERE for more info.
